A 6ª edição do OLD SCHOOL, dia 18 de Janeiro, às 22h, apresenta pela primeira vez o vídeo “Capitólio”, feito em 2007 por ANDRÉ ROMÃO E NUNO DA LUZ.      

Na mesma noite, bem perto, em rua paralela, André Romão apresenta uma exposição organizada por si na Galeria Baginski, intitulada “Sob Fogo”. No dia 21 de Janeiro, às 22h a Vera Cortês Agência de Arte inaugura a primeira exposição individual de Nuno da Luz. 

SOBRE “CAPITÓLIO”

“Este vídeo foi filmado em 2007, ainda antes do projecto de renovação do Parque Mayer agora em vigor mas já depois do projecto de Frank Gehry, para o mesmo espaço, ter sido considerado impraticável.

Durante este período de interregno capturámos imagens e som do exterior do Teatro Capitólio, projecto do arquitecto Cristino da Silva. Inaugurado em 1931 e classificado desde 1983, sofreu nos últimos anos a primeira fase de requalificação (diga-se, destruição das paredes e alas laterais) e, agora que as obras estão de novo paradas, queremos mostrar esta ruína como a encontrámos há cinco anos atrás. Esta colaboração vai ter a sua primeira apresentação pública na Old School. Capitólio (2007) é um vídeo sobre património.”
